About

About

I created an album cover for Distopia's new album "Broken Utopia". Distopia is a Japanese band that channels their love for Ado, Porter Robinson, Yoasobi, and anime into a captivating blend of Jpop, Vocaloid, and electro. "Kowareta Utopia" or "Broken Utopia" in English, tells dystopian tales through music, creating a thought-provoking and mesmerizing auditory experience.

After this process, I presented my sketches to my classmates and teacher. Each had different preferences and liked various elements from each sketch. Ultimately, I chose the first one, which I believed best fit the album's dystopian concept.

With a strong concept and clear storytelling, I had a clear vision for my design, which made the process smoother. As a result, I developed a minimalistic, futuristic, and dystopian design for both the front and back of the album.
